Joining a Rocket Ship

I joined PayScale pretty much right out of college, in my early 20’s. When I joined in 2013 they were a small team in Pioneer Square that had just completed a large round of funding.

I was hired as one of the first 20 Sales Reps (Account Executive) at the company. I focused on the SMB and Startup verticals… generating my own leads and managing the entire sales cycle from beginning to end. Each of my first 2 years I was named the top-earner, which opened the door for promotions and growth opportunities.

Years 3-5 was where I refocused on leadership development and team building. By 2018 I had led 3 different teams to “Presidents Club”, which is reserved for the highest earning teams against their sales plan. This was not only a great accomplishment for me personally, but it was a great accomplishment for my teams. We worked as a team, co-selling and collaborating on client projects. The monetary rewards were great, but the bond that we built still exists today.

…in 2018 I decided it was time for a new challenge and joined 10,000ft.
